Former Argentine footballer Julio Toresani, who played for River Plate, Boca Juniors and Independiente in the 1990s and was a coach for clubs such as Bolivians Real Potosí and The Strongest, was found dead on Monday at age 51 .
" Boca Juniors regrets the passing of Julio César Toresani, who wore the club's jersey between 1996 and 1997," the club wrote on his Twitter account.
According to police sources quoted by the state news agency Telam, Toresani's body was found in a hotel in the Santa Fe Football League in the city of Santa Fe , where he had been staying for a few weeks.
