Kurt Zouma opened the score at Everton-Bournemouth after just over an hour of play. The French defender scored from a cross by Lucas Digne. Deep in stoppage time, Dominic Calvert-Lewin decided the game.
Aké played the entire game at Bournemouth, which remains twelfth due to the defeat. The 'Cherries' are 27 points after 22 matches.
Everton, who had lost his previous two league matches, climbs to tenth place. The 'Toffees' have accumulated thirty points so far.
Later on Sunday, the top match between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United is on the program. The kick-off at White Hart Lane will take place at 5.30 pm.
