Two people died in a landslide disaster that occurred on the 31st of last month in Nishime, Tsuruoka City, Yamagata Prefecture, and 17 buildings, including houses and vacant houses, collapsed according to a city survey.



Evacuation orders have been issued for 20 people in 7 households in the surrounding area, excluding the two who died, and residents are evacuating to hotels and other places.

Of these, the area where 13 people live in 4 households is expected to take several months to investigate the situation of groundwater to confirm safety.
