In Saito City, Miyazaki Prefecture, which was hit by a series of floods due to Typhoon No. 14, a disaster volunteer center was established, and volunteers are working to remove household goods that were submerged in water from their homes.

In the Umatsu district of Saito, the heavy rain caused by Typhoon No. 14 caused damage such as flooding under the floors of houses one after another, and the city opened a disaster volunteer center from the 20th.

From the morning of the 21st, employees of a local construction company and more than 70 members of the Air Self-Defense Force Nyutabaru Air Base were also involved in volunteer activities.

Volunteers were carrying out the work of carrying out the damaged agricultural machinery and household goods at Motobu Quantum's home, where the warehouse was submerged in water to a height of about 60 centimeters and all agricultural machinery and equipment became unusable.

In addition, at the house of a couple in their 80s in the neighborhood, which was flooded to the floor of the first floor, work was being done to remove an 8-meter-high bamboo that had fallen from the base nearby.

In this area, there were many cars that broke down and stopped working due to the flooding, and a car that had just been purchased was being towed away.

Mr. Motobu said, "I live with my daughter, so it's really helpful to have volunteers come."
