Due to the approach of Typhoon No. 14, some stores in the Kyushu and Chugoku regions will be closed sequentially after 9:00 pm on the 17th at Seven-Eleven Japan, a major convenience store.

According to the company, the prefectures scheduled to be closed as of 4:30 pm on the 17th are Fukuoka, Saga, Nagasaki, Oita, Kumamoto, Miyazaki, Kagoshima, and Hiroshima and Yamaguchi prefectures. There are about 610 stores in total.

As for the reason, the company says, ``The safety of shoppers, delivery workers, and employees is our top priority,'' and the specific period of closure is left to the discretion of each store.

In addition, "FamilyMart" plans to close about 30 stores in the Kyushu region, mainly in Fukuoka prefecture, as of 7:00 pm on the 17th, and it is possible that the number of stores that will be closed will increase in the future.
