About 1,170 houses in Shizuoka Kanagawa are investigating the cause of the power outage

According to TEPCO, as of 4:30 pm, about 1,170 households in Shizuoka and Kanagawa prefectures were out of power in TEPCO's jurisdiction.

Of these, in Shizuoka Prefecture,

approximately 530 households in Kawazu Town,

▽ approximately 430 households in Gotemba City, and

▽ approximately 60 households in Higashiizu Town have lost power.

In Kanagawa Prefecture,

about 150 houses in Hakone Town are without power.

The cause of the power outage is under investigation.
