According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, in Miyakojima City, Okinawa Prefecture, it is estimated that heavy rain of 120 mm or more fell in one hour until 6:50 am on the 28th, according to radar analysis.



Under these circumstances, damage caused by gusts occurred one after another in Miyakojima City, and the cause is being investigated by the Miyakojima Local Meteorological Observatory.



Of these, in Hirara Nikadori, Miyakojima City, a one-story hotel that just opened last year suffered damage such as the steel frame of a building under construction on the premises collapsed and the outdoor unit was blown away.

In addition, cables were hanging from the surrounding trees, and sugar cane had fallen in the nearby fields.



The man who manages the hotel said, "I came at 6:30 am and confirmed the damage. Such damage was unexpected and my head became blank."

On the other hand, at the driving range in Nishinakasone, Hirara, Miyakojima City, which is about 250 meters away from the hotel, two poles with a height of about 15 meters were bent, and the net that had just been replaced was broken.



The owner of the driving range said, "I think I have to take a leave of absence for about 20 days for repairs."
