In line with the 11th anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake, a train wrapped with posters drawn by children with a wish for reconstruction was unveiled in Miyako City, Iwate Prefecture.

This train was first planned by Sanriku Railway and Lions Clubs to send a message for recovery from the Great East Japan Earthquake and world peace.



On the 13th, a departure ceremony was held at Miyako Station on the Sanriku Railway in Miyako City, and the governor of the Lions Clubs International Association, Takashi Murakami, said, "I would like you to see the reconstruction in the wake of this train."



A total of 71 posters drawn by children living in Iwate Prefecture are wrapped around the train, and the words "We are all connected" are also attached.

Children who drew posters were also invited to the departure ceremony and took a commemorative photo in front of the train.



Ichiro Nakamura, President of Sanriku Railway, said, "It has been 11 years since the earthquake, and I would like to do my best to rebuild Sanriku. I want you to see the train and feel the courage to move forward as much as possible." rice field.
