On the 11th, 11 years after the Great East Japan Earthquake, in Kesennuma City, Miyagi Prefecture, which was severely damaged by the tsunami, there was a man ringing a bell installed on the coast last year with the thought of his wife who is still missing. ..

The "Bell that Calls Happiness" on the Koizumi coast in Kesennuma is a memorial to the victims of the tsunami, and we want people who visit the coast to hear the sound of wishing for the happiness of their families and loved ones. , Was installed last November.

On March 11th, the first time after the installation, Mr. Tadashi Nakatate (71), the representative of the residents' group who installed this bell, visited the beach and rang the "bell that calls for happiness".

After the earthquake, Mr. Nakatate set up a bell on the Koizumi coast, which was a favorite place for his wife Takako, who is missing, and on the 11th, after ringing the bell, quietly handed toward the sea. It was matched.

Mr. Nakadate is a memorable place such as having a ceremony with Mr. Takako at a wedding hall overlooking the Koizumi coast, and I think that Mr. Takako will be pleased if this bell will be a chance to regain the bustle of the coast.

Mr. Nakatate said, "Today I hear the sound of the bell differently. I wanted to see this landscape with his wife. I hope I can find any clues."
