In Nayoro City in the northern part of the Kamikawa region of Hokkaido, snow continued to fall from the afternoon of the 23rd, and as of 9 am on the 24th, the snowfall was 58 cm, which was about four times the normal.



As snow continued to fall in the center of the city, snowplows were dispatched to bring the snow on the road to the side of the road, and the citizens were shoveled.



A man in his 70s said, "I was surprised when I woke up in the morning. It's rare to have such a night. It's snow shoveling all day today."



According to the Asahikawa Local Meteorological Observatory, in the northern part of the Kamikawa region, the snowfall is expected to increase and heavy snowfall will occur until after noon on the 24th, and the Meteorological Observatory is calling for caution regarding the impact on traffic.
