This memorial is a clock motif, with a hand engraved to indicate 3:07 am when the earthquake struck, and the black granite in the center is an image of the sun.

At the memorial service that followed, Mayor Naoichirou Miyasaka said, "I carved a proof that I lived at the same time here with the 37 victims, and made a vow to open up my hometown tomorrow. We will continue to make unremitting efforts toward recovery and reconstruction that will not be left behind by anyone. "

I would like to make efforts for the reconstruction and development of Atsuma Town. "
