Atmospheric conditions have become unstable due to the influence of fronts and low pressure systems, and rain clouds have developed in western and eastern Japan, causing heavy rainfall locally.

Atmospheric instability is expected to continue over the 5th, especially in western and eastern Japan, and the Japan Meteorological Agency is calling for caution against sediment-related disasters, sudden flooding of rivers, and inundation of low land.

According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, the atmospheric conditions are extremely unstable, especially in western and eastern Japan, due to the warm and moist air flowing from the south toward the front with a low pressure system extending near Honshu.

During this time, rain clouds were developing locally in Tokai and Kinki, and heavy rain of 37 mm was observed in Tahara City, Aichi Prefecture in the hour until 11:30 am on the 4th.

There are rivers in Hiroshima prefecture that have exceeded the "flooding danger water level", which is at risk of flooding due to the rain that has fallen so far.

Due to the continued instability of the atmosphere, heavy rains of 30 mm or more per hour may occur locally from western Japan to northern Japan from the night of the 4th to heavy rains.

The amount of rain in the 24 hours until the morning of the 5th is expected to be 100 mm in Tokai, 80 mm in Kanto Koshin, 70 mm in Hokuriku, 60 mm in Kinki and Tohoku, and 50 mm in China.

The Japan Meteorological Agency calls for caution against sediment-related disasters, sudden flooding of rivers, and inundation of low land.

In addition, over the 5th, we are calling on western and eastern Japan to pay close attention to severe gusts such as tornadoes and lightning strikes.

If there are signs that a developed cumulonimbus cloud is approaching, such as a sudden cold wind, move to a sturdy building to ensure safety.
