The city's Council of Social Welfare has opened a disaster volunteer center and is looking for volunteers to clean up the damaged houses from the 20th.

Volunteers were limited to those living in the city to prevent the infection of the new coronavirus, and 38 volunteers gathered were dispatched to the six damaged houses to work on each.



In houses that were damaged by flooding on the floor, volunteers used to scrape the mud that had flowed into the houses and wipe the mud from furniture.



Ei Mizuta (62), a resident who asked for volunteers, said, "I was afraid that the water rushed to the knees. We have a limit, so we will see the help and recovery little by little. I'm happy. "



A woman in her twenties who participated in the volunteer work said, "I felt the damage was worse than I had imagined. I hope it helps."



The city's Council of Social Welfare will continue to recruit volunteers and dispatch them at the request of residents.
