Due to heavy rain, roads are closed due to landslides in Hakodate City, Hokkaido.

At the "Hiura No. 1 Tunnel" on Route 41 in Hiura-cho, Hakodate City, the earth and sand that had collapsed from the cliff flowed into the entrance of the tunnel.



Depending on the road, there is no damage such as getting caught in a car, and about 1.5 km near the site is closed.



In addition, the water level rises near the mouth of the Haraki River, which flows through the eastern part of Hakodate City, and the road that manages the river patrols the surrounding area to check the water level.



Hakodate City has issued evacuation orders and evacuation information for the elderly to some areas, and as of 10:00 am, a total of eight people have been evacuated.
