In Akkeshi Town, Hokkaido, due to the effects of high tides, drainage such as rainwater could not keep up, and roads in the coastal areas were temporarily flooded.

In the port town in the center of Akkeshi Town, the town road was flooded around 6 am when the high tide was reached.

According to the road, the tide level rose due to the influence of the storm surge, so the drainage could not catch up and rainwater and snowmelt water overflowed.

The depth of the flood was about 20 cm, and it was said that the water had entered under the floor of the house for a while, but by about 10 am, the water had almost drained.

In addition, in the town, the port town road 123 and Shirahama road 14 were temporarily closed due to flooding, but they were lifted by 10 am.
