Due to the impact of the earthquake on the 13th, some airlines have been suspended from driving on some sections of the Tohoku Shinkansen, and airline companies are operating temporary flights from airports throughout the Tohoku region.

Of these, at Yamagata Airport, Japan Airlines has been operating two extra flights to and from Haneda Airport, four extra flights from the 15th.

Before 10:30 am, a flight from Haneda Airport arrived and many passengers were leaving the lobby for their destination.

A man in his 40s who visited for work initially planned to use the Shinkansen, so he said, "I managed to get on a special flight. I'm relieved to come to Tohoku, but I'm worried about what will happen on my way home." Was there.

Also, a third-year college woman who took a flight to Haneda Airport said, "I was planning to go to Tokyo as an intern on the 14th, but I couldn't go because of the earthquake. I am very grateful for the extra flight." ..

According to Japan Airlines, the total of two flights departing from Haneda Airport and Yamagata Airport on the morning of the 15th had 95 seats, which were almost full.

It is not decided how long the extra flight will last, and airlines want to check the latest status on their websites.

According to JR East, the Tohoku-Hokkaido Line is not operating on the up and down lines between Nasushiobara Station and Morioka Station, and it is expected that it will take about 10 days to resume operation on all lines.

For this reason, the Yamagata Shinkansen and Akita Shinkansen cannot be operated directly with the Tohoku Shinkansen.
