Due to the influence of snow, in the Reihoku region of Fukui prefecture, in addition to all prefectural high schools, elementary and junior high schools in nine cities and towns have been temporarily closed on the 12th.

Fukui Prefecture is calling for refraining from going out by switching to vacations and telework as much as possible on the 12th, as road congestion is expected.

According to the Fukui Prefectural Board of Education, 33 prefectural high schools and special needs schools in the Reihoku region, as well as Takashi Junior High School, will be temporarily closed on the 12th due to snow.



Of the 11 cities and towns in the Reihoku region, nine are Awara City, Sakai City, Fukui City, Sabae City, Echizen City, Katsuyama City, Ono City, Eiheiji Town, and Echizen Town. The city and town will also close all elementary and junior high schools.



At the Fukui Prefecture Disaster Countermeasures Headquarters meeting on the morning of the 11th, Governor Sugimoto called for taking vacations and switching to telework as much as possible and refraining from going out, considering that road congestion is expected on the 12th.
