Typhoon No. 10 Kyushu/Okinawa Post Offices Shutdown of windows and pick-up/delivery at 5:17 on September 5th

Due to the approach of Typhoon No. 10, Japan Post announced that it will gradually shut down post office counters and pick-up and delivery operations in Kyushu and Okinawa from the 5th to the 7th of the week.

It is the window service and the delivery service including ATM of the post office that are suspended.



On the 5th, the Minamidaito Post Office and the Kitadaito East Post Office in Okinawa will be closed all day long.



On the 6th, all post offices except Miyako Post Office in Okinawa Prefecture and Yaeyama Post Office and nine post offices in the island area of ​​Kagoshima Prefecture are closed all day long.



In other prefectures of Kyushu, all post offices will be closed from noon for delivery and pick-up services from 0:30 pm.



On the 7th day of the week, each prefecture in Kyushu will suspend collection and delivery services throughout the day, and the window service will be suspended in the morning and then resumed after the afternoon depending on the weather conditions.



On the other hand, we plan to resume operations at all post offices in Okinawa Prefecture.



Due to the cancellation of air and ship services due to the effect of Typhoon No. 9, the collection and delivery of postal items and Yu-Packs in the islands of Kagoshima Prefecture and Okinawa Prefecture have already been delayed. Depending on the area, there may be delays in areas other than Kyushu.
