This is a video of the hot spring town "Katadachi Onsen" located in Oguni Town, Kumamoto Prefecture on the prefectural border with Oita. A man who runs a bar at Ketanate Onsen took a picture on the 8th. (This video cannot be viewed on data broadcasting)

Large rocks around the center of the hot spring town

In the center of the hot spring town, earth and sand flow into the front of houses and shops, and there are also large rocks that seem to have fallen off the cliffs.

You can see how the river flowing through the hot spring town is flooding and driftwood is flowing from the first floor to the second floor of the inn along the river.

The Kannoniwa Onsen, located near the entrance to the hot spring town and along the river, was partially crushed by the earth and sand that fell from the back mountain. Depending on the town, there are no injuries.

Also, on the road heading to Hita City in Oita Prefecture, you can see that the road is greatly depressed and the guardrail pillars are exposed.

Mr. Kiori Anai, who filmed, said, “I felt the heavy rain was the worst in the last decade or so. I've been hit by a long distance from the corona, and I'm finally recovering. Thank you for your support."
