According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare's summary as of 5:30 am on the 8th, at least 23 hospitals in Kumamoto prefecture, Fukuoka prefecture, Kagoshima prefecture, and Shiga prefecture suffered damage such as inundation, power outage, and water outage.

It means that we are responding by issuing water tankers and advancing the acceptance of patients at nearby facilities.

Elderly facility

Damage is also occurring in facilities for the elderly.

A total of 28 facilities for the elderly in Kumamoto Prefecture have been confirmed to suffer damage such as inundation, power outages, and water outages.

Of these, 14 people died in the Senjuen, a nursing home for the elderly in Kuma Village.

In addition, in Omuta City, Fukuoka Prefecture, inundation damage was confirmed at 24 locations, and in Hita City, Oita Prefecture, damage was also caused by sediment at one location.

Handicapped person facility, nursery school

As for facilities for persons with disabilities, flood damage was confirmed at four locations in Ashikita Town, Kumamoto Prefecture, and one location in Omuta City, Fukuoka Prefecture.

In child-related facilities such as nursery schools, 24 locations in Kumamoto Prefecture have been found to be inundated, and water is out of service, and one in Omuta City in Fukuoka Prefecture and one in Hita City in Oita Prefecture.
