Heavy rain special warning in Nagano Prefecture Maximum caution is required July 8 6:44
The Meteorological Agency announced a special heavy rain warning at Nagano Prefecture at 6:43 am, following Gifu Prefecture. The highest level of information is required, which is the highest level 5 of the 5 levels. Given that the heavy rains that have hitherto pose a tremendous risk of damage only once every few decades, maximum caution is required for sediment-related disasters, river floods, and inundation of low-lying land. The Meteorological Agency will check the surrounding conditions and move to a sturdy building nearby if it is dangerous to move to an evacuation site, or if it is already dangerous to go outside, the cliff or slope above the second floor of the building. We are calling for actions that are likely to save lives, such as moving to the opposite room.
