Typhoon No. 19 Insurance paid by non-life insurance company Over 400 billion yen 3rd scale on November 12, 13:08

Due to Typhoon No. 19 last month, the amount of insurance money paid by non-life insurance companies is expected to exceed 400 billion yen. The amount of payment is expected to be the third largest due to damage such as typhoons and floods.

In last month's Typhoon No. 19, flooding caused extensive damage to buildings and cars, and nonlife insurance companies are paying insurance claims to policyholders.

Insurance claims paid by Tokio Marine & Nichido, Sompo Japan Nipponkoa, Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance, and Aioi Nissay Dowa Insurance are estimated to be around 400 billion yen.

Therefore, the non-life insurance industry as a whole is expected to exceed 400 billion yen, which is more than the amount paid for Typhoon No. 15 in September.

Typhoon No. 1 in the Kansai region last year was 1,67.8 billion yen in damage from typhoons and floods, and typhoon No. 19 in 1991 was a series of damage caused by the fall of fruit trees such as apples in Aomori Prefecture. It is the third scale after the circle.

According to non-life insurance companies, claims for damages are still ongoing one month after the occurrence, so the total amount of insurance payments may increase further.
