The amount of damage related to agriculture, forestry and fisheries due to Typhoon No. 19 and the subsequent heavy rain exceeded ¥ 210 billion, and when combined with the amount of damage caused by Typhoon No. 15 in September, it exceeded ¥ 270 billion.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, the amount of damage related to agriculture, forestry and fisheries caused by Typhoon No. 19 and the subsequent heavy rain was 218.5 billion yen in 38 prefectures as of 1 pm on the 7th.

Among them, damage to agricultural facilities such as ponds and irrigation canals reached 16,900, and the damage amounted to 87.6 billion yen.

In addition, damage to crops such as rice and apples was 18,900 hectares, and the damage amounted to 13.3 billion yen.

Furthermore, forestry-related damage such as forest roads and timber processing facilities was 61.5 billion yen, and fishery-related damage such as fishing port facilities was 10.7 billion yen.

The amount of damage is expected to increase further, especially in areas where flood damage has spread extensively.

In addition, the damage caused by Typhoon No. 15 in September was 52.3 billion yen, and when combined with the effects of typhoon No. 19 and subsequent heavy rain, the damage amount exceeded 270 billion yen.

In the last few years of disasters, the amount of damage has reached 340 billion yen, following the heavy rain in western Japan last July.
