In “Nakanoshima Elementary School” in Mobara City, the Ichinomiya River flowing alongside the school building was flooded due to heavy rain on the 25th of this month, and the first floor of the school building was flooded.

Also, because mud flowed into the classroom, the school was temporarily closed from 28th, and teachers and local volunteers are cleaning up.

On the 29th, we wiped the corridors and balding boxes with a rag, and brought together the teaching materials and equipment that had become unusable due to getting wet.

At school, contractors will perform disinfection work on the 30th, explain the damage situation to parents, and resume classes from the 31st.

Nakanoshima Elementary School principal Hiroaki Kondo said, “Some children were affected by the disaster, so I would like to welcome the children so that the school can be a place where they can feel at ease.”
