In this report, the Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare Kato stated, “Last night, the country requested each insurer in the disaster area to exempt some of the medical and nursing care burdens,” and announced in Typhoon No. 19. Clarified that they requested local governments to exempt all victims of medical care at the medical institutions.

Exemptions are available for those who have completely or partially destroyed their homes, who have been flooded on the floor, or whose family members who have supported their living have died. It means that we are proceeding.

The deadline is until the end of January next year, and the nursing care insurance fee will be exempt under the same conditions. These measures were also implemented in the past in the event of the Great East Japan Earthquake, Kumamoto Earthquake, last year's heavy rain in West Japan, and so on.

Mr. Kato said, “Many people have lost their insurance cards or lost various economic foundations. We took this measure from this perspective.”
