As a result, the Abukuma River was inundated with a maximum of approximately 12,600 hectares, but on the morning of the 18th, the work was completed and the inundation was almost eliminated.

On the other hand, in the “Yoshida River” flowing through Miyagi Prefecture, a maximum of about 5700 hectares was flooded, and as a result of drainage work, the flooded area had decreased to about 1200 hectares, about 20% by the 17th.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism will continue to dispatch pump cars to expedite drainage work in the Yoshida River, such as Osaki City, Miyagi Prefecture, where flooding continues.
