In Sakado City, Saitama Prefecture, where many houses were damaged by water, it is likely that it will rain again over the weekend.

Sakado City, Saitama Prefecture, was flooded by a heavy rain caused by Typhoon No. 19, causing flooding of at least 340 houses.

The city is again working to replenish the sandbags used by Typhoon No. 19 because it could rain all over the weekend. Twenty-five people, including city officials, made sandbags one after another by packing sand into bags.

It is placed in 15 places such as public halls and is distributed to the necessary residents.

Masahiro Tanizawa of the Sakado City Disaster Prevention and Safety Division says, “I want to be well prepared for the weekend rain with the refilling soil.”
