JR Musashikosugi Station Inundated with escalators due to flooding.

Due to the inundation of Typhoon No.19, all escalators and elevators cannot be used at Musashikosugi Station on the JR Yokosuka Line in Kawasaki City. On the morning of the 15th, congestion occurred during the commuting rush hour and JR employees were guided.

Musashi-Kosugi Station has become inundated, causing power supply equipment to break down, making it impossible to use all six escalators and one elevator on the premises.

For this reason, on the morning of the 15th, the first weekday after the typhoon passed, there was heavy traffic among commuters, and JR employees as well as police officers from the Railway Police Corps came out to guide.

Among them, there were people who contacted the company by phone because it took almost an hour to pass through the connecting passage leading to the JR Nambu Line home.

At the new south exit, where tower condominiums are lined up, the automatic ticket gates also break down, and one of the two ticket gates continues to be unusable.

According to JR East, the outlook for equipment recovery is not yet available.
