Around 10:00 am on the 13th, in the Iwaki City flat area, Fukushima Prefecture, a member of the Tokyo Fire Department descended from a helicopter and lifted a 77-year-old woman with a harness to rescue him. There was an accident to fall.

The woman was taken to the hospital with cardiopulmonary arrest. The Tokyo Fire Department held a press conference and deputy director Hirofumi Shimizu apologized, "I sincerely apologize to women and their families. I will do my best to restore trust so that there is no such accident."

According to the fire department, the rescue operation was carried out by the “Air Hyper Rescue” unit that rescued from the sky with a helicopter, and there was a mistake in lifting the hook while supporting the weight of the woman.

When attaching the hook to support the rescuer's weight, it was a procedure for two members, and after one person attached it, the other person confirmed it, but this time the procedure was followed. That was not.

During this typhoon, the Tokyo Fire Department dispatched helicopter units to Fukushima and Nagano prefectures for rescue.
