In the area along the river near the coast of Suruga-ku, Shizuoka City, damage from flooding of roads has occurred due to Typhoon No. 19.
Due to the impact of Typhoon No.19, Nishijima, Suruga-ku, Shizuoka City, has flooded the road to a height that is about the height of an adult's lap, and most of the car tires are submerged.
Firefighting and police are dispatched to check the situation.
The city says that rivers are less likely to flow due to heavy rain and high waves caused by typhoons, and that water may have overflowed from gutters.
