Edogawa Ward in Tokyo has issued an evacuation recommendation to 214,000 households and 432,000 people in areas where there is a risk of inundation because the average rainfall in the Arakawa basin is expected to exceed 500 mm due to rain caused by typhoons .
With information corresponding to level 4 of the five warning levels, Edogawa Ward has established 65 elementary and junior high schools in the ward as evacuation shelters, and promptly evacuates all of them.
