Typhoon No. 19 approaches with a very strong force, and the maximum instantaneous wind speed may reach 60 meters on the 12th. The Japan Meteorological Agency says there is a risk of damage similar to Typhoon No. 15 that landed in Kanto last month and Typhoon No. 21 that hit Kinki last year.

Typhoon No. 15 observed maximum wind speeds of 58.1 meters in Kozushima Village in the Izu Islands and 57.5 meters in Chiba City.
In Chiba Prefecture, roofs were blown away one after another, and power poles collapsed or things that were blown by wind at power transmission facilities crashed, causing long-term power outages.
In Typhoon 21
On the other hand, Typhoon No. 21 last year observed maximum wind speeds of 58.1 meters at Kansai Airport and 57.4 meters at Wakayama City.
At Kansai Airport, a tanker moored offshore was swept away by a strong wind and collided with the connecting bridge, and the airport was isolated temporarily. It took about seven months to fully restore the damaged connecting bridge.
