Tokaido Shinkansen Planned suspension from tomorrow morning 11:06 on October 11

With the approach of Typhoon No. 19, JR Tokai announced that the Tokaido Shinkansen will be suspended from the morning of the 12th. Between Tokyo and Nagoya, we will stop driving from the first train to the whole day.

According to JR Tokai, Typhoon No. 19 was expected to approach the Tokaido Shinkansen along with the storm, so we decided to implement the planned suspension of the Tokaido Shinkansen from the morning of the 12th.

The plan is to stop driving from Tokyo to Nagoya all day.

Also, between Nagoya and Shin-Osaka, “Nozomi 95”, “Hikari 491”, “Kodama 691” departing Nagoya at 6am, and Shin-Osaka at 6am. It means that train operation will be canceled except for “Nozomi 200”, “Hikari 504” and “Nozomi 100” departing from Nishi-Akashi.

All the 6 trains that run up and down stop at each station, and the 3 trains going up and down stop in Nagoya.

According to JR Tokai, on the 13th, if the impact of the typhoon has weakened and the safety can be confirmed, the operation will start. However, the number of trains may be reduced or the operation may be canceled. I'm calling for confirmation.
