Long-established inn damaged by typhoon 11th business resumed Chiba Futtsu Oct 9 14:04

A long-established ryokan in Futtsu City, Chiba Prefecture, which had been unable to operate due to the impact of Typhoon No. 15, was reopened for the first time in about one month on the 11th.

Kayaya Ryokan is located in Kanaya, Futtsu City, a long-established inn founded in the late Edo period. Due to the influence of Typhoon No. 15, the window glass of the guest room was broken, and the tatami mats of the guest room became wet and could not be used.

As a result of the restoration work at the inn, it was decided to resume operations from the 11th.

On the 2nd of this month, we worked on the antennas for TVs in rooms that were damaged by the typhoon, cleaned up the tatami mats that were no longer available, and prepared for cooking.

The inn has already been booked every day since the 11th, but due to the impact of Typhoon No. 19, some cancellations have also been received.

Yutaka Kurokawa, the representative director of Kaya and Ryokan, said that he was worried about the approach of the new typhoon, but “I was sorry because the typhoon crushed the customer ’s schedule. I received words, so I wanted to get back to work quickly. "
