According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, the low pressures and fronts that have changed since Typhoon No. 18 are approaching, so the wind is strengthening mainly in Hokuriku and Northern Japan, and the atmospheric conditions are unstable over a wide area.

In Niigata City, Nishi-Nada Ward, we observed a maximum instantaneous wind speed of 30.1 meters around 4:30 pm. In the 1 hour until 5:00 pm, heavy rain of 31.5 mm fell in Takane, Murakami City, Niigata Prefecture. In Niigata Prefecture, the risk of landslide disasters has increased, and there are areas where landslide disaster warning information has been published.
