2 cities and 1 town damaged by typhoon Applying the Life Reconstruction Support Law Chiba September 27, 19:04

Three cities and towns, Tateyama City, Minamiboso City, and Tominami Town in the southern part of Chiba Prefecture, which were severely damaged by Typhoon No. 15, were decided to be subject to the “Damage Life Reconstruction Support Law” and were damaged in the future. Support money will be paid in response to an application from a household.

The Disaster Reconstruction Life Support Act supports households who have suffered significant damage to their homes due to disasters such as earthquakes and typhoons, and provided funds necessary for the reconstruction of their lives. As local governments, Tateyama City, Minamiboso City, and Kyonanmachi were decided to be applied for the first time.

As a result, households whose houses were damaged in the three cities and towns can apply for each municipality's counter, and up to 3 million yen for households that have been completely destroyed and those that need to be demolished due to partial destruction. Up to 2.5 million yen will be paid to half-sized households.

The victim life reconstruction support law is subject to the degree and scale of housing damage. The prefecture first applies it to the three cities and towns where the damage is severe, and the other disaster-affected cities and villages can also satisfy the conditions. It will be applied sequentially.

In addition, even if the house has been completely destroyed, but the damage to the local government is small and the support law is not applied, the prefecture is preparing to provide the same support as the country.
