Chiba Prefecture began accepting consultations on the repair and reconstruction of houses damaged by the typhoon in Chonan-cho from 25th. In the future, other local governments in the southern part of the prefecture, where the damage was severe, will also establish a consultation desk.

On the 25th, the prefecture set up a window at the Konancho government office where specialists such as architects can consult about the repair and reconstruction of damaged houses such as the roof being damaged by Typhoon # 15.

Consultation is free of charge, and two architects from organizations such as the Prefectural Architects Association and the Prefectural Construction Industry Association are available.

The people who visited for consultation asked about the repair of the roof, but it took several months and asked about the cost of repairing it. The architect firmly fixed the blue sheet on the roof We responded by introducing the first-aid measures and renovation assistance systems.

According to the prefecture, the damage to houses in Konan-cho was 307 on the 25th, and 307 were partially destroyed, and 1961 were partially damaged.

A man in his 70s said, “It took me a long time to repair the roof tiles, so I was glad I was taught how to fix the blue sheet so that it would not leak.”

Mr. Kazuhiro Shirai, an architect who responded to the consultation, said, “There are many consultations on damage to the roof. First, I would like to explain the first-aid measures during the repair, because it takes a few months to repair.”

The consultation desk in Kyonancho is from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and will be set up until the 1st of next month. The prefecture will set up consultation desks in Minamiboso City and Tateyama City, both of which suffered severe damage.
