Water outages due to power outages continue in some areas in Chiba Prefecture.

According to Chiba Prefecture, as of 7:00 am on the 20th, there are still about 2500 households supplied by the three water utilities in the prefecture.

The Kazusa Channel wide area federation, which has jurisdiction over Kimitsu City, Futtsu City, Sodegaura City, and Kisarazu City, continues to cut water in over 2,300 households, 230 in Minamiboso, and 23 in Chonan.

In Shibayama-cho, where most households in the town use well water, it was not possible to pump up due to a power outage.

Chiba Prefecture has been calling for it not to be used for drinking for a while until the turbidity disappears, because the water fading out from the faucet after the water outage is resolved.
