Minamiboso City, Chiba Prefecture, where power outages continue, visits the homes of senior citizens living in the district to check their health.

Minamiboso City, Chiba Prefecture continues to be out of power at approximately 6,800 units. For this reason, public health nurses in prefectures and cities have visited the homes of elderly people living in areas where blackouts continue and people who need nursing care from 17th to check their health.

On the morning of the 18th, two public health nurses visited Wadamachi, where about 2000 blackouts occurred. At the house of Mr. Eiko Hasegawa (86), who lives with a 94-year-old husband and child, a public health nurse asked, “Is there no problem with your physical condition,” and heard about health and anxiety.

In Hasegawa's house, the power outage and water outage were restored, but he said, “The husband's health management is difficult, and he is resting by taking a fan or taking it to the shade.”

Public health nurse Mayumi Koshigoe said, “Since elderly people cannot speak up and many people live with patience, I want to try to understand my physical condition.”

Minamiboso wants to finish the health check of elderly people in need of support this week.
