Damage caused by typhoon starts rehabilitation work on Yokohama September 14, 18:00

Among them, on the east side of the industrial estate where more than 10 revetments collapsed, emergency revetment restoration work started on the 14th, and workers carried sandbags with heavy equipment and piled up next to the broken revetment .
Because work is expected to take around one week, city decides to push forward examination of restoration method of revetment in future.
“I want to work on recovery with a sense of speed so that damage will not occur again,” said Toru Iwasaki, Director of the Yokohama City Port and Harbor Bureau Conservation Management Section.
On the other hand, companies that were damaged by inundation in industrial parks were being cleaned up for 14 days.
