The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries has decided to send 200,000 foods and beverages to support nine cities and towns in Chiba Prefecture that were heavily damaged by Typhoon No. 15.

Nine municipalities in Ichihara City, Sodegaura City, Kisarazu City, Kimitsu City, Futtsu City, Kamogawa City, Kyonanmachi, Minamiboso City, and Tateyama City provide food support.

Since the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries is preparing packed rice and instant noodles, we want to transport them as soon as they are ready.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, damages of ¥ 14.3 billion have been confirmed in Chiba and Ibaraki prefectures due to damage to fruit trees and agricultural products, and collapse of agricultural houses.

There is also a situation where dairymen are forced to dispose of raw milk due to power outages.

At a press conference after the cabinet meeting, Minister Eto said that he would like to understand damage early and show farmers how to support them.
