In Ichihara City, Chiba Prefecture, blackouts were restored in some areas on the 12th. Of these, the power outage was resolved at about 5 am on the 12th at a nursing facility in Togokubunjidai.

During the power outage, a large electric fan was turned on by a private generator delivered from the operating company to overcome the heat, but there were some residents who were unwell.

Around 5am, the night shift staff noticed that the blackout had been resolved, and went around the resident's room to turn on the air conditioner.

Mr. Hiroaki Hamada, the operating company, said, “I was able to respond as much as possible with a fan, but it was hot, so I was able to use air conditioning through electricity and I was relieved.”

A 93-year-old man who has entered this facility has been instilled because the high fever has not dropped since the power failure.

The male family said, “I feel safe if my power outage continues for another day, so I am relieved. I wanted the elderly facilities to be restored preferentially.”
