In Minamiboso, Chiba, the power generation equipment used to run the relay station for disaster prevention administrative radio has run out of fuel, making it impossible for many areas to broadcast to residents.
The city has been dispatched to each relay station and dispatched six people to replenish diesel fuel as fuel.
All of the relay stations are on the mountain and are originally entered by car, but because of the influence of fallen trees along the forest road, you have to walk from the middle. Of these, 3 have not been restored.
Mr. Motokazu Okusawa, general manager of the Minamiboso City Disaster Countermeasures Headquarters, said, “We have lost the means to communicate important information to the citizens. We want to work towards the fastest recovery”.
The city intends to restore all the relay stations within 11 days.
