Ariake Sea Recorded heavy rain to collect waste in front of paste farming Saga Sep. 4, 11:56

It is one week in four days from record heavy rain that flooded damages one after another mainly in Saga Prefecture. In the Ariake Sea, off the coast of Saga Prefecture, where driftwood and other debris flowed from the river, about 200 fishing boats came out and collected garbage before the start of aquaculture from next month.

Saga Prefecture Ariake Sea Fishery Cooperative collected garbage on the 4th as it may interfere with paste farming starting next month.

The work was carried out with about 750 people, including about 200 fishing boats and fishermen, mainly in places where there was much inflow of garbage, such as off the Chikugo River.

The fishermen used the nets to scoop the good, and the driftwood was attached to the ropes and transported to the fishing port for recovery.

In the Ariake Sea off Saga Prefecture, "post support" is scheduled to start this weekend, which will be used for seaweed farming, and seaweed farming will begin in earnest next month.

The man of the fisherman said, “If there is garbage, it may get caught on the pole and fall down, and it will hinder the navigation of the fishing boat. I want to collect as much garbage as possible before setting up the pole.”
