On the 18th, a memorial ceremony was held in front of the memorial monument near the prefectural Midorigaoka house in Yagi, Asanan-ku, Hiroshima, where about 70 people, including bereaved families and related persons, attended.

At the ceremony, the bereaved representative Isamu Kawachi said, “We lost 25 neighbors in this area due to a landslide disaster five years ago. To prevent us from being victims of disasters, It is necessary for the local residents to cooperate and make efforts for safety and security together, ”he said.

And the bereaved family and others were praying with flowers in front of the monument.

A 79-year-old woman who suffered from her home said, “It ’s hard to remember just because someone who was close to you died.”
