Sanyo Shinkansen resumed operation Okayama Station is crowded with passengers August 16th 11:53

The Sanyo Shinkansen, which stopped driving on the 15th due to the typhoon, resumed operation on the 16th, and Okayama Station was crowded with many customers who were waiting for departure.

The Sanyo Shinkansen was canceled all day between Shin-Osaka and Kokura due to the typhoon on the 15th, but it resumed operation on the 16th.

Okayama Station was visited by many families who spent their time in Obon.

In order to reduce congestion, JR West Japan temporarily operated two Shinkansen trains bound for Shin-Osaka where non-green cars were reserved.

A college student who was visiting Hiroshima for sightseeing said, “The shop was closed due to a typhoon and I couldn't enjoy it much. I only bought a ticket for a free seat, so a temporary train was operated, which was saved.” .

According to JR West, the reserved seats on the Sanyo Shinkansen are almost full on the 16th.

On the other hand, some JR trains that run in the prefecture were canceled on the morning of the 16th due to the inspection of the tracks, but now they are operating as usual.
