Typhoon No. 10 Already a high wave ... Beware of the closest approach to western Japan around 15th or 11:13 on August 12th

The large typhoon No. 10 is moving northwest of Japan to the northwest, and is expected to be closest to western Japan around the 15th of this month. The waves are already high on the Pacific side of western Japan and eastern Japan. Be wary of high waves when you approach the sea even if you are away from the typhoon.

According to observations by the Japan Meteorological Agency, the large typhoon No. 10 is traveling northwest on the south of Japan, and after 13th, it will change its course to the north, and is expected to be closest to western Japan by around 15th this month.

Due to the typhoon, the Ogasawara Islands are expected to continue to be overwhelmed on the 13th and watch out for high waves.

On the Pacific side and the Nansei Islands in western Japan and eastern Japan, the wind will gradually increase, and the sea is expected to be over 6 meters.

Also, due to the influence of moist air, it may rain heavily on the southeastern slope from the 12th before the typhoon approaches on the Pacific side of western Japan and eastern Japan, resulting in heavy rain.

The amount of rain in the 24-hour period until the morning of the 13th is 150 mm in Tokai and 100 mm in Kinki, and the amount of rain in the 24-hour period until the morning of the 14th is 200 to 300 mm in the Tokai area. It is expected to be 100 to 200 mm in the southern Kyushu and Amami regions, and 100 to 150 mm in the Shikoku and Okinawa regions.

After that, around 15 days, it is expected that the amount of rainfall will increase further due to the rain clouds of the typhoon itself, mainly in western Japan.
