A part of the typhoon No. 8 Miyazaki is in a storm area on the morning of the 6th, landing in the southern part of Kyushu August 06 1:06

Strong typhoon No. 8 is approaching Kyushu, and part of Miyazaki Prefecture seems to have entered the storm zone. It is expected that it will land in the southern part of Kyushu until dawn after this. Wind and rain are intensifying around Kyushu, and there is a risk that it will become locally intensely violent wind and rain from now on, and be alert to storms, high waves, and heavy rain.

According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, a strong typhoon No. 8 is expected to travel west at a speed of 25 kilometers per hour, 80 kilometers southeast of Miyazaki city, at 1 am on the 6th.

The central air pressure is 970 hectopascal, the maximum wind velocity near the center is 35 meters, the maximum instantaneous wind velocity is 50 meters, and winds of 25 meters or more are blowing within 110 km on the northeast side and 70 km on the southwest side of the center.

During this time, a part of Miyazaki Prefecture seems to have entered the storm zone.

In Kyushu, the wind was intensifying rapidly, and I observed a maximum instantaneous wind speed of 25.7 meters at about midnight at Miyazaki Airport.

In addition, Kyushu and Shikoku covered the developed rain clouds around the typhoon, and observed heavy rain of 38 mm in Susaki City, Kochi, for one hour until midnight.

The typhoon will continue to move westward to the east after this, and is expected to land in southern Kyushu while maintaining strong power.

On the 6th, it is expected that a fierce wind will blow in southern Kyushu, with a maximum wind velocity of 35 meters and a maximum instantaneous wind velocity of 50 meters.
In northern Kyushu and Shikoku, the maximum wind speed is expected to reach 23 to 25 meters, and the maximum instantaneous wind speed will reach 35 meters.

The wave height on the ocean can be as intense as 9 meters in southern Kyushu, and it is expected to be a great deal in northern Kyushu and Shikoku.

In addition, in Kyushu and Shikoku, which are subject to the rain clouds of the typhoon itself, extremely heavy rain may occur, and locally it may be heavily rained by heavy rain. The amount of rain that falls in the last 24 hours until late on the night of the 6th is expected to be 300 mm in northern Kyushu and southern Shikoku, and Shikoku in places where it is heavy, and the rain is expected to continue under the influence of moist air after the typhoon passes.

In addition to storms and high waves, the Japan Meteorological Agency is calling for caution against landslide disasters caused by heavy rain, flooding of low land, and river flooding.
