This is another major result of the police law enforcement cooperation between the Chinese and Myanmar police, and it is also the first time that the two sides have successfully carried out a joint crackdown in the Tachileik region of Myanmar.
In response to the current severe situation of Chinese telecommunications network fraud crimes in northern Myanmar, since 2023, the Ministry of Public Security and Myanmar law enforcement departments have continued to strengthen international police cooperation, deployed and directed the Yunnan public security organs and relevant local law enforcement departments in Myanmar to continue to deepen border police law enforcement cooperation, and continue Notified the fraud dens and personnel clues, and with the strong support of the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar, jointly carried out a series of crackdowns with the Myanmar police and achieved fruitful results.
So far, 46,000 suspects involved in China Telecom network fraud have been handed over to China, and a large number of fraud dens have been successfully eradicated.
During the Spring Festival this year, on the basis of mastering relevant criminal facts and evidence, the Ministry of Public Security sent a working group to cooperate with the Myanmar police and successfully arrested 497 telecommunications network fraud suspects (including 46 fugitives) in the Tachileik area, and seized a large number of Tools for committing crimes further expanded the results of the crackdown.
