Mutual bombing between the Israeli army and Hezbollah in southern Lebanon (Anatolia)

Hezbollah announced the killing of 5 of its members in southern Lebanon, and announced the implementation of 7 operations against Israeli sites off the southern border and in the occupied Shebaa Farms.

The Lebanese party said that it bombed with Burkan missiles a gathering of Israeli soldiers in Birkat Risha. It also bombed the Zarit and Baranit barracks with Falaq 1 missiles, targeted two buildings in the Yaroun and Avivim settlements, and bombed the radar and Zibdin sites in the occupied Shebaa Farms.

Al Jazeera's correspondent reported that Israeli fighters launched raids on several towns in the southern Lebanon region, including Khiam, Taloussa, Blida, Maroun al-Ras, and Jabal Balat. Meanwhile, the Al-Quds Brigades announced the martyrdom of two of its fighters in southern Lebanon.

The Al-Quds Brigades said in a statement yesterday evening, Monday, “The two martyrs, the Mujahideen Muhammad Musa Fares (Abu Jihad) and Suleiman Shehadeh Suleiman (Abu Talib), who rose on the borders of occupied Palestine in southern Lebanon, bled out in the Battle of Al-Aqsa Flood.”

Hezbollah official survived

An Al Jazeera correspondent reported that a local Hezbollah official survived yesterday after an Israeli drone bombed a car near Bint Jbeil Governmental Hospital in Nabatieh Governorate, southern Lebanon, while others were injured in the targeting.

The reporter quoted a Lebanese security source as saying that the car driver survived the attack and was taken to the hospital after sustaining moderate injuries, adding that the targeted person was a local Hezbollah official.

The French news agency quoted a Lebanese security source as saying that an Israeli raid targeted a local Hezbollah official in the town of Maroun al-Ras, which led to his “severe and critical injury, after which he was transferred to the hospital for treatment,” according to the source.

Yesterday, Hezbollah announced the killing of two of its members in confrontations with the Israeli occupation army in southern Lebanon, and said that its death toll had risen to 190 since October 8, 2023.

Israeli raids

On the other hand, the director of Al Jazeera's office in Lebanon stated that the Israeli occupation carried out a series of air strikes yesterday in all sectors of southern Lebanon.

The Civil Defense in the southern Lebanon region reported that 4 people were killed and others were injured in two Israeli raids on two houses in the towns of Tayr Harfa and Maroun al-Ras.

Last Saturday, Israel targeted a car in the town of Jadra, about 40 kilometers from the border with Lebanon, in the second targeting outside the southern border area since the start of the escalation of the war in Gaza.

The Israeli sources said that what they described as a leader in the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), Basil Saleh, was the target of the strike, but he survived it.

This strike led to the killing of two people - one of them a civilian - at a time when Hezbollah mourned one of its members from the town's residents.

In the wake of the devastating aggression on the Gaza Strip, since October 8, 2023, the Israeli-Lebanese border has witnessed an exchange of fire and bombing between the occupation army on the one hand and Hezbollah and Palestinian factions on the other hand, which led to the killing and wounding of a number of both sides and Lebanese civilians.
